Sooooo…Jon has just spent a few hours helping me make the site layout more my own and much more pretty basically-he’s good at making things pretty. (Hehe)

I’ve just realised, with a little horror, just how late it is…in fact it is now TOMORROW…kind of! Normally, this wouldn’t be such a big deal, however, today I have a big scary audition!! It’s kind of terrifying because I’ve had to go to such lengths to organise the thing and now I don’t want them to feel that it’s been wasted time! ‘Them’, by the way, are Sing Live UK. I’ve just joined up with the Merseyside Company to perform in their ‘Back to The Musicals’ concert in February at the Liverpool Philharmonic. I was sooo excited that they let me sign up as I only heard about it three weeks into rehearsals and I’m still buzzing about it because-well, it’s a dream come true really, ESPECIALLY given the Wicked medley that we will be performing which I’m LOVING already!

I went to my first rehearsal on Tuesday and was so keen to try out for the solo auditions, but was told that I’d missed the deadline and that this was not possible by any means…however, little me wasn’t going to stop there just yet. I had a talk with Richard, the guy in charge of the Merseyside concert, and H.O, and it wasn’t long until I secured myself an audition time (I’m praying all the arrangements will have been communicated from H.O and all with go smoothly!) All of a sudden it’s happening tomorrow…I mean, TODAY! I’m so thrilled at just having the opportunity to try out for this-I doubt I’m good enough to be given a solo part seeing as they seem to require almost professional standards for those parts, but for me it’s just about trying…however, with solos up for grabs in The Wizard and I-Wicked, One Day More-Les Mis and You Can’t Stop The Beat-Hairspray, I have to admit I probably won’t be able to avoid feeling a little disappointed if it’s a big no!

Anyway, I just decided to change my audition piece from For Good-Wicked to On My Own-Les Mis about two hours ago and do not yet have the score or anything…I think I may be insane but I figure this will show my voice off a little better and give them a better all-round look at what I have to offer…so yeah, really I had better go and sort everything out-and get some sleep if possible!

Hello!!

Welcome to my new website and blog! It has been set up for me by my very lovely, computer-savvy boyfriend Jon (www.jon-moore.co.uk) and it’s looking pretty good so far (…if I do say so myself!) It’s likely to change a fair bit in these early stages-I need to learn my stuff, but hopefully it’ll be a beautiful, fully functioning haven all too soon! haha
